Tanahashi, Michael Elgin, Moose and Honma vs. Bullet Club (Tama Tonga, Bad Luck Fale, Cody Hall, Takahashi)
Eight-man tag matches are nutso bonkers (in a good way, most of the time) and this particular match is no exception. It’s interesting to note how well managed the chaos in the ring is handled. It might have external signs of a demolition derby but the folks involved adhere to the invisible yet tangible codes of ring conduct and create a really fun match.
Moose (who is TOTALLY over with the Korakuen Hall audience) spears Cody Hall for the win but all parties involved get to display some impressive ring work, particularly Elgin who might be the strongest human on the planet. That last part might be hyperbole but tell that to Big Mike and enjoy being suplexed into oblivion.
The Briscoes vs. Bullet Club (Karl Anderson and Doc Gallows)
With Anderson and Gallows firmly entrenched in the top tier of the WWE, it is very interesting to see their penultimate match with NJPW/ROH. This match with the evergreen Briscoes is on fire from bell to bell. The chemistry between Anderson and Jay Briscoe in particular is impressive.
A Neckbreaker/Froggy Bow combo from the Briscoes dispatches the soon-to-depart Bullet Club members. Hopefully WWE can allow Gallows and Anderson the room to pull off matches of similar intensity. It would help matters if there were tag teams as good as the Briscoes in the WWE, but time will tell.
