The ROH Supercard of Honor X Preview Panel

Ryan Davis – Twitter

Yes, I’m the only one on this panel. That does have a bright side though, that means the rest of the writers are working on other projects for the website such as reviews of West Coast Wrestling Connection, NXT, Lucha Underground, and screw it, you are reading a one person panel preview of this show so I’ll break some news, your boy(me) is in talks with two people to bring TNA Wrestling reviews to the website. As for me, I’m the Editor-In-Chief here at We Write Wrestling and I’m doing this preview instead of reading a book I’ve been assigned for Spring Break. Let’s get into it.

Bobby Fish vs. Christopher Daniels

I’m looking forward to this match a lot. Sure, Kyle O’Reilly is the star of ReDRagon and everything, but I’ve always seen Fish as the workhorse of the team. I see him as the guy who has the skills that’s just never caught the singles push break. Now I will admit my knowledge of ROH history isn’t too good, but I don’t recall Fish getting a chance, at least not recently. Fish is good in my books and Christopher Daniels is always amazing so there’s no question he’ll bring his A-Game to this match.

Prediction:: Christopher Daniels

BJ Whitmer vs. Dalton Castle vs. Cheeseburger vs. Adam Page vs. Frankie Kazarian vs. Donovan Dijak

6-Man Mayhem Match

At least we aren’t getting another Page vs. Whitmer match, am I right? I actually really like this match because it gives both Dijak and NJPW superstar Cheeseburger a match on this show when they could’ve easily been put into a 3-on-3 on Night 2. I think this will be a decent match and the only person I see coming out as the winner is Dalton Castle because he’s pretty much a main eventer who’s stuck in this match.

Prediction: Dalton Castle

The Briscoes (Jay Briscoe and Mark Briscoe) and War Machine (Hanson and Raymond Rowe) vs. The All Night Express (Rhett Titus and Kenny King), Silas Young and Beer City Bruiser

8-Man Tag Team Match

I’m not really all that excited for this match. I mean it’s great The Briscoes and Silas Young are here, but I’ve never really been a fan of War Machine and I have yet to come around to All Night Express. Where’s Tanahashi and Elgin when you need them?

Prediction: The Briscoes and War Machine

Matt Sydal vs. Kyle O’Reilly

Talk about a hyped match, Sydal vs. O’Reilly! This match is going to be a fun one, Kyle throwing out kicks, Sydal flying around, submissions galore, it’ll be a good watch guys. I highly recommend watching this match when it happens.

Prediction: Kyle O’Reilly

Roderick Strong vs. Moose

Moose improves as the time goes on and he’s facing a guy who’s been great for a while in Roderick Strong. It’ll be interesting to see how these styles mix. I’m not sure whether these two have had a match before, I feel like I’ve seen it but I can’t recall how I felt about it so this match feels new to me. It’s a match I’ll keep my eye on but I’m not expecting anything special.

Prediction: Moose

Adam Cole vs. ACH

My boy ACH is going one-on-one with The Great One, Adam Cole Bay-Bay! It’s really cool to see ROH giving the spotlight to ACH for months now and it continues with this match. ACH is having a match at Supercard of Honor against a former World champion, a man who’s one of the best on the independent scene. The match will be exciting and the winner will be exciting because I think it will be ACH’s night. I can feel it.

Prediction: ACH

The Young Bucks vs. The Motor City Machine Guns

I love how they brought in Shelley and reunited MCMG and now they’re facing the hottest tag team in pretty much all of the world, The Young Bucks. I’m expecting to see Superkicks and top rope dives and flips and Meltzer Drivers and craziness. Get your popcorn ready.

Prediction: The Motor City Machine Guns

ROH World Championship

Jay Lethal(c) vs. Lio Rush

The greatest wrestler in the world, Jay Lethal defends his Ring of Honor World Championship against Lio Rush. Lio Rush is a guy I don’t know too much about and not many other people do because he’s new here in ROH. He recently won the Top Prospect Tournament and now he’s getting a championship match against Jay Lethal. Seeing as I’m not familiar with Rush, I can’t say if I’m excited for the match or not. I’m intrigued because I don’t know much about Rush and he could end up blowing my socks off, my socks! I do, however, know Lethal will go 100% in this match and give Rush a challenge so that’ll be fun to watch.

Prediction: Jay Lethal
